Husser
Summer 2026 slang for someone who runs flat out — from 'hussing,' a spelling of heavy running breath that came out of the Huss Valley memes and then attached itself to cartoon running edits.
Definition
A husser is someone (or some cartoon character) who runs hard and fast, and 'hussing' is the act of doing it. The word is used jokingly, usually in captions on clips of people or animated characters sprinting. 'True husser' is the praise-title given to the one judged best at it; fans of the Kung Fu Panda character Po, for example, edit him into that role.
History
'Huss' began in early July 2026 as a comment under a meme using footage of the YouTuber Daniel LaBelle running away from people in costumes. Commenters described him as 'hussing' and explained that 'huss' spells out the heavy breathing of someone running intensely. Days later the surreal joke place 'Huss Valley' appeared, where creatures chase anyone who enters. In mid-August 2026 a YouTuber named RED SIDE posted a 3D animation ranking 70 cartoon characters sprinting across a desert, and viewers called the characters 'hussers.' Edits of the ranking, especially of Po, spread on TikTok and Reddit.
