Definition
Chud calls someone a gross, loud, terminally online bigot or edgelord — the guy in replies who makes everything worse. It references the 1980s horror film C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller), picked up ironically on Something Awful and later left-leaning Twitter as shorthand for 'chan-brained' antagonists.
History
Something Awful and gaming forums used 'chud' for unpleasant users in the 2000s. Leftist and shitpost Twitter revived it in the late 2010s to mock far-right posters without engaging. The word stays niche-insult energy — more political corner than mainstream teen slang.
