V Stepped into the Crowd
An Instagram Reels copypasta lifted from a Vogue caption about BTS member V attending a fashion show, pasted under unrelated videos as an algorithm-bait joke.
'V Stepped Into the Crowd' is a copypasta — a block of text pasted verbatim under totally unrelated videos — taken from a Vogue Instagram caption about BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) watching a performance at Vogue World: Hollywood. Creators paste the caption on unrelated Reels believing it helps videos perform better in the algorithm; once the tactic became obvious, the overuse itself became the joke.
History
On October 27th, 2025, Vogue's Instagram account posted a video of BTS's V at Vogue World: Hollywood with the caption 'Tonight, @thv took a turn in the audience as he watched @gracieabrams and @dojacat perform at #VogueWorld.' Throughout 2026, Instagram users began copying this caption (or a close variant) onto unrelated Reels, believing it would boost algorithmic reach. By July 2026 the copypasta's omnipresence had itself become a running joke, similar in mechanism to the earlier 'Japan Is Turning Footsteps Into Electricity' copypasta.
